What the red spiral in Juris Technologies means

Embedded in the Juris logo is a red spiral. This red spiral represents the positive energy of our company that is ever-growing outward, evolving. It is a symbol of dynamism, strength and joy. Red in Confucian cultures represents harmony and prosperity, and is considered to be a happy and lucky colour.

The spiral is extremely rich in symbolism. We also give some historical examples of the spiral below:

The spiral is the most common shape in nature and is an ancient spiritual symbol of growth and evolution. Spirals occur naturally in shells, galaxies, DNA, whirlpools and countless other instances, and the human history of the shape stretches back beyond the ancient Celts and Greeks. In two dimensions, a spiral is a curve that winds around a fixed point at a continuously increasing or decreasing distance from that point. Thus the spiral represents the bringing forth of life from a central point (cf. Kether on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life) as it unwinds, or a return to the center of creation in the other direction. In this latter aspect it embodies the labyrinth that leads to the divine center. It is a symbol of the forces and patterns underlying creation, of evolution and self-transformation.

The spiral is used as an attribute of power, found in sceptre heads of Egyptian pharoahs and Christian popes & bishops. In primitive dances of healing & incantation, the pattern of movement develops as a spiral curve. The Sufi whirling dervish dances in a spiral to induce a state of ecstasy to experience the center of his being. Children are often seen to whirl around in playgrounds or parks, spinning themselves and giggling.

All these aside, we are not subscribing to any of these beliefs. We are just IT techies that have the common thinking that this spiral looks good for our logo. J Our growth and successes have been attributed to passion for our work, commitment to excellence and of course the unmerited favour of the almighty God!
